FRANKFORT- James O. Reiter, 62, of Frankfort, KS, passed away April 8, 2010 at his home.   He was born January 22, 1948 at Marysville, KS. He was the son of Omer Reiter and Clara Wessel Reiter. He graduated from Frankfort High School in 1966. Jim served in the US Air Force from 1967-1972 achieving the rank of Sergeant. Upon leaving the military, Jim joined the Topeka Police Dept. in 1972. He retired in December of 1997. In August of 1999, he became the Chief of Police Frankfort. Survivors include his wife, Joan, a son, Roy Richardson, Grand Forks, ND, two daughters, Angela Thomas, and her husband, Greg, Las Vegas, NV and Lisa Schwartz, and her husband, Rick, Topeka, KS, four grandchildren, Vince Kelly, Cheyenne, WY, Joe Kelly, Topeka, Ryan Richardson and Conner Richardson, Grand Forks, ND; a sister, Dorothy Wassenberg, and her husband, Steve, Woodbridge, VA.
