Spc. Tony J. Gonzales, 20,  died Dec. 28 in Sadr City, Iraq , RIP

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.  We want to do everything we can to honor T.J.  He started boot camp in August 2006.  He left for Iraq on his 20th birthday, April 6, 2008.  He graduated from Freedom High School in Turlock in 2006, worked at Home Depot for the summer, then left for boot camp.  This was his first tour in Iraq.  He was armor (tanks) and also trained to fly the UAV Raven (the unmanned drone aircraft).  He was happy to be there and at peace and knew it was his job to do.  He knew from early on that he wanted to serve his country.  He wanted to become a police officer like me after he was done with his commitment to the Army.  He loved spending any time with his family and playing airsoft or football with his friends and BBQing with everyone.

Thank you again.

Tony
