        My first tour was Jan 74 – Aug 75. The shot at the SAC Command Post is likely on a mid shift in 1975, I’m an A1C    MG Davies Retirement, VCINC LG Keck presiding. Appears LG Keck is looking right at young A1C Wamble. The A1C to my left is Jewett, cannot remember a first name. The SSgt to my right is George R. Goodwin Jr. (for some reason I have all his data in a scrap book). George trained me for the SAC main control point (otherwise known as the visitor’s desk). To the left of SSgt Goodwin, you can see a little bit of SSgt Randall Pettyjohn. If you look between me and A1C Jewett, you can see the head of SSgt Merriman on the color guard detail    change of command from Gen Dougherty to Gen Ellis. I would in me next assignment back to the guard be his driver. On the dais is Gen Geroge S. Brown, Chairman of the JCS, Gen Ellis and Gen Dougherty, seated to the right of Dougherty is VCINC LG James Hill, to the right of Gen Hill is Mrs. Ellis. I drove her everywhere! Oh yes and Sgt Wamble is the Gen Ellis’ flag bearer over Gen Dougherty’s shoulder 1 Oct 77.
